At 4 p.m.Mr. Coyne, Chairperson, called the meeting to order.

 

Members present: Robert O’Brien, Lori Gramlich, Maureen Quinn, Anthony Toppi, John Coyne, Sarah Thompson, Ben Meiklejohn, Susan Hopkins, Peter Eglinton

 

Members not present:  Rebecca Minnick, Ellen Alcorn, Bennett Gross

 

Invocation:  By Rev. Kevin J. Martin, St. Peter’s Church, Portland

 

Pledge of Allegiance led by Cassidy and Delaney Coyne.

 

Moment of Recognition – Mr. Coyne recognized and thanked Ellen Alcorn, Ben Meiklejohn, Anthony Toppi, Maureen Quinn, and Bennett their service on the School Committee.

 

Linda Cohen, City Clerk, swore in new School Committee members.

 

Roll Call – Members present: Sarah Thompson, Robert O’Brien, Jules Szanton, Jaimey Caron, Kathleen Snyder, Joshua Tingley, Peter Eglinton, Lori Gramlich, John Coyne, Susan Hopkins

 

Members not present: Rebecca Minnick, Christopher Pulsoni

 

Ms. Gramlich moved, seconded  Ms. Hopkins and voted  unanimously to appoint John Coyne as Chairperson for the 2007-2008 school year. (Students voted with majority)

 

Ms. Snyder moved, seconded  Mr. O’Brien and voted unanimously to appoint Peter Eglinton as Finance Committee Chairperson for the 2007-2008 school year. (Students voted with majority)

Mr. Coyne announced the next meeting of the School Committee – Wed., Dec. 5, 2007,
