Make It Happen! Talent Show Set for Jan. 25 at CBHS
The annual Make It Happen! Talent Show takes place on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Casco Bay High School. The event will run from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Great Space on the second floor.
Make It Happen! is a college-readiness program for multilingual students that is the cornerstone extended learning program of the Portland Public Schools’ Multilingual & Multicultural Center.
The talent show, organized by Tim Cronin, director of the Make It Happen! program, is a moving, spirited showcase that brings all Make It Happen! sites together in celebration and enjoyment of the intrinsic talents of these hard-working, dedicated and deserving students.
The event showcases Make It Happen! students from King, Lyman Moore, and Lincoln middle schools and Casco Bay, Deering, and Portland high schools, who will read and recite original stories and poetry, perform live music, dance, and much more.
Make It Happen! Americorps Site Coordinators have been on the ground organizing the students and have been invited to contribute to the show as well.
