The visits have traditionally been organized by Lyman Moore Middle School staff, and a group of them are again stepping up this summer to host and entertain five Japanese students and their two adult chaperones.  more

The Portland Public Schools (PPS) accepts funding through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965, amended in 2001 as the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001. As part of NCLB, PPS is required to provide reasonable opportunity for public comment on the NCLB consolidated application and consider such comment prior to submission of the application, which details how PPS plans to use the funding  more
